Who Dunnit?

I keep my 3 pots of pings togetner in the garden. This evening as I was watering one of pings with flowers, I noticed a piece of dried out plant on the leaves of the flowering pings. On closer examination, the dried leaves looked like the P. primuiflora I bought from Lim. To my horror, when I looked to the P. primuiflora pot, the P primuiflora is indeed gone. Did the phantom squirrel (tree shrew) strikes again?

I spoke to David and he said he had witnessed a rat pulled out his money plant from a pot. So is it the squirrel or the rat?

Lim, do you have any more P. primuiflra?

If squirrels are not bad enough, I have to watch out for caterpillars too. Sometimes when there are a few, they can chewed up the whole plant overnight. I lost a N. adrianii because of caterpillars.

Moral of the story: Those living in apartments, should not envy those with gardens. You only get more trouble.

Hmm... The P. primuliflora tend to be disturbed by animals. May be their leaves look juicy. Mine always pulled out by burung kuak, the white-breasted waterhen. Still thinking how to trap this bird.

Luckily, I dont have any pest chomping or pulling my plants out even when I have a big garden.

Lucky you. What is your secret? I think Choong would love to know.

I am thinking... Electric fencing? Telsa coils? A rottweiller who is thirsty for rodent's blood?

Not a rottweiller David. Who knows what havoc it would caused. The other day, when I let my bunny out it went and sit on my ampullaria, squashing a couple of pitchers. I could imagine it gave chase to the squirrel and knock over my potted plants.
