Tiny pitchers
For such tiny(1-2cm) pitchers, this guy is a sickeningly cranky plant for its altitude(~1000m). Perhaps my place is too hot, but so far I've found it to be at least as, if not more, temp cranky as species from much higher altitudes, like N. rajah. Or perhaps its just the clone(s) going around. Oh well, for anyone who likes this sort of thing, since I can't enter this guy in any CP contests:

Re: Tiny pitchers
Yup, Aliamyz is right, its a tenuis. You won't believe how happy I was when it finally started to pitcher.
Lol...its really nothing special Ken, anyone who sleeps in an air-con room can grow it, my stuff just grows at the windows and the air-con is only on when I'm sleeping. They thus get normal humidity levels during the day, so it helps a lot. I used to used either bags or da bao containers to harden the plants off slowly, but after experimenting, I've found that some highlanders come hardened to air-con humidity levels. EP's come so hardened, they don't even lose their pitchers! A fair number of BE's need to be hardened, but the champion is Wistuba...stuff from there can croak overnight if not shielded from air-con initially...and takes a very long time to harden. In the long run though, many species and most(if not all) hybrids can adapt to air-con level humidity without problems. |
