Default Drosera along the Great Ocean Road

I was down along the Great Ocean Rd in Victoria the other day for work and decided to pull over while I had a few minutes to spare and took these pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

This is an example of the habitat. The area is quite open. The Drosera's grow in areas where there is strong light for the majority of the day.

One of the other plants from the area. I don't know what it is but it looked pretty good.

Drosera auriculata

Drosera whitakkeri

It is still early in the season and flowering is just commencing. The day was quite overcast. This is a D. auriculata. It doesn't show very well in the flower but it was a pale pink color.

D. auriculata again

A shot looking along the Great Ocean Rd over some D. auriculata.

Great pictures Adam! So amazing that they are growing just beside the road. Media seems quite dry as compared to how I woudl grow them. Was it dry?

This area looks like it was only there when the road was built. Do you think there is regular maintenance of the grass there where they are cut?
