How many nodes can activate at once

Hi guys...I cut off the top part of my gracilis's stem to make some cuttings and now after 2 weeks the mother plant has some dormant nodes starting to sprout..I always thought that the plant would only activate one but today when i examined my gracilis closely i saw that there is 2 nodes of the green part of the stem, 1 on the brown part and another one coming from the stem just slightly above the LFS...They are all sprouting at once..All 4 sooo do they actually produce that many?? Cos it would be nice to have 4 growing points

I hope that for Gracilis the new growth will continue, because I did a cutting of a hybrid (N. Indah?) that has a long internode length, I was happy to see that there were several growth from nodes, however after while most of them have blackened and died, ending up with only 1 growth tip that continued to now become a vine.

So maybe they will grow into 2 and you can do another cutting sometime in the future, or they might die and just end up 1 strong growth. That is at least my experience, it would be nice for you though if most of the growth continue to grow

i hope when the time comes for me do cuttings for my gracilis that i'll have the same
success as you do. I've read somewhere that they usually divide and make branches off
one stem. So maybe it is about to make a branch when you have made the cutting.
Just a guess tho.
