Not bad for a cutting
Hey.....I got a cutting of a mirabilis about a month back and i totally forgotten bout the 2-4node cuttings stuff....And this time he cutting has 5-6 nodes...I never thought it would survive and root but today i checked one of the cutting has made root although all the leaves have dried up..Its just 1 stem with a growing point lol...And very little roots..Its a miracle hehehehe.. Looks like i will have a mature mirabilis in a couple of months time..

Re: Not bad for a cutting
Glad to know that your cuttings have grown roots.
In your experience, how long does it takes to mature ? |

Re: Not bad for a cutting
Ken, I also have mirabilis cuttings I completely forgot about. Until one day when I traced a tiny pitcher back to the source

Re: Not bad for a cutting
To answer your Q aice,in my experience of propagating gracilis stem cutting,it takes about a month to grow tiny shoot on the internode, another month to grow leaf from the shoot, another 4month for the plants to grow large enough to be repotted or change its location.
