Here's the first examples of one of SEANSRF's new projects to produce Bi-lingual Thai
Nepenthes species descriptions pages with all the correct taxonomic information and botanical terminology, for the first time allowing non-English speaking Thai people to more easily observe & understand the taxonomic differences of the
thorelii-aggregate species. Reaching local consensus regarding these pyrophytic, IC species is an important step towards being able to make any conservation progress.
We hope to finish all 14 of the Thai species descriptions later this year. These can be a little difficult to read against the photo backgrounds (but all are also available in zoom-able PDF format). These were mainly produced to catch people's interest as they passed by during the NAC2015 exhibition...plain text versions will be made available soon as well. We have done 4 species so far and I will post them 'publicly' and for free use! Please DO credit the
'SE Asian Nepenthes Study & Research Foundation' if you use them!
Check my Shawnintland Google+ page for more pictures & information! Please note; some of these descriptions were first made in 2010, since that time more info has been discovered/uncovered, but the descriptions still 'stand' as published.
