Default Start from Seeds

Hi guys, very new with plants. I happen to get some seeds of a VFT plant and would like to know how about going to germinate them?
  • Cotton wool + water (like those days when germinating green beans)
  • Just leave the seeds on soil and water them regulary?

Btw, the seeds are in my fridge (lowest compartment, with veges) which I was told to put inside if not planting it yet. It is to keep it dry and cool. Is it ok?

How much water is required? Duration of the germination process? Any other information i need to take note of?
I hope i am not over-whelmed

It doesn't take too long to germinate. From the day of sowing, germination should happen 2 weeks later. By end of the 3rd week, more than 90% should have germinated if the seeds are good.

Enjoy growing!

The only CPs I've grown from seed are nepenthes. CP are slow to mature from seeds, even if they germinate fast. But, as you said, you'll get more satisfaction if it thrives.

Vfts germinate quite fast. Use sphagnum moss or peat....You can also soak them in water. I heard that this method makes them germinate faster than those sown in media. Good luck
