Default Jewels in the forest

This forest held some of the most bizarre ampullaria that i ever visited. Pitchers are huge and often some display dual colours. without further explanation here are the pics. comments most welcome.

fresh young pitchers

aerial pitchers

young stunted pitchers

Hi Robert

Wow those Amps are as big like my coffee mug! Seems like the freshly opened pitchers are those with green lips. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.

some freshly open pitchers are green and later develop the red on the peristome but there are some that bear the red soon as they unfold.

Wow, nice shots. Good size and nice coloration.

Are the deformed amp pitchers restricted to just one individual plant and all the pitchers are formed this way??

David, most welcome.

Rob and Edmund, only 2 of the pitchers were dented. Their early growth were blocked by falling debris and twigs. They were covering all the pitchers and i have to remove inorder to take photos.

ken, not sure any commercial nurseries doing TC on such form.
