Can't really say if the pitcher bud you show will turn into a pitcher. It depends on a few factors. For now the pitcher bud looks ok. It is not burnt or turned brown. So there's a chance it will develop into a picther. Sometimes when thee is a change in the environment like shifting it from the nursery to your home etc., it will just give up producing pitcher on that bud. The plant won't die from it. Just a little unsightly. If I am not wrong I think your plant also has a little pest problem. Can't really tell from the picture but the second last picture has some fuzzy black dots on the leaves. If so it was caused by a pest that suck on the leave juices just like how a mosquito would bite us. Then a droplet of the sap accumulates at the spot where the pest suck on. That black fuzzy stuff is fungus that grows on the sap. Just can't remember the name of that pest. Sometimes ants farm these pest on the plant to obtain the fungus as food. « Last Edit: Mar 22, 2007, 10:36pm by David »Link to Post - Back to Top LoggedMy Wantlist bifurcatum Senior Member member is offline Joined: Jan 2007 Gender: Male Posts: 381 Location: Batu Pahat, Johor Re: N.
