Here's a poem I scribbled earlier on.

The Lure of The Nepenthe

In my garden, there is this creature
Come of tales and myths long told
Green is this terror of alien feature
Recited and named among men of old

Thus began the humble, innocent cells,
Sprouting from the rosettes of life
Up and beyond it stretched and unfurled
For growth hath no fury like haste scorned

But beware, the dark designs thus shaped
The end, the edge, the tip last followedth
Concealed for now, but forever not
The trap of doom that was to come

Days gone by, the hours were spent,
The sun, the rain, the roots grew deep,
The craft worked forth now its concealment,
A thin veil to ease its hidden passing

A tendril came forth, amidst the silence
Invisible hands to guide the dance,
As it catches on to a stage of sorts
The curtains will rise and the show begins

Embellished with vigour and in sight of light
The craft continues its designs unharmed
With force, it expells its glory unfettered,
Beyond the imagination, comes a being of fright

Big and vast did it expand without fail
A vessel of the highest complexities
The lid, immaculate but not insidous
A tongue that speaks before the beast

Thus the hour hath come for the world
To ponder and reel at this creation
For no man hath failed to apprehend
The lure of the creature that is the Nepenthe.

Thanks David. But the poem is still out of rhyme. I've tried to knock in parallel words at each verse but sort of didn't go well with the flow.

It does not need to be a poem. It is nice like that. Like a narative.
