So I though our climate may not suitable for D. peltata. However, my though change after I click the link below. http://pitcherplants.proboards34.com/ind....lay&thread=5701 Yes. D. peltata can be found in Java!! The climate quite close to our country. Then, I start thinking whether this sundew can be found in our country. So, I try to search through the net. And I found this site... http://www7a.biglobe.ne.jp/~flower_world/Droseraceae/Drosera%20peltata.htm « Last Edit: 25 Apr, 2008, 3:02 by piscesilim »Link to Post - Back to Top LoggedLimhongrui Advisor - CP member is offline CP addict Joined: Jul 2007 Gender: Male Posts: 467 Location: Mandai, Singapore Re: Drosera peltata in tropic? « Reply #1 on 25 Apr, 2008, 8:09 »Lim, i have some 2months old D. peltata seedings and they're doing well for me. i believe tarence has got some seedlings too, i remember him posting about them somewhere. « Last Edit: 25 Apr, 2008, 8:10 by hongrui »Link to Post - Back to Top Loggedlooking for different forms of N. ampullaria, N. rafflesiana and N. xhookeriana. We passed this swampy area where I saw my first CP, ie. N. gracilis. Now in that area I remembered hiking through the open area of grasses, ferns and wet sandy media where I was irritated by some plants with sticky leaves sticking all over my leg. I did not know what it was at that time but as I think through now, it might be D. peltata. It looks like peltata. kinda tall. If not it should be D. indica. I'll try to make a trip back and search the area. Hopefully it has not been developed. It has been so many years. Hopefully I can remember where it was. « Last Edit: 25 Apr, 2008, 9:16 by David »Link to Post - Back to Top LoggedMy Wantlistpiscesilim Global Moderator member is offline Joined: Dec 2006 Gender: Male Posts: 463 Location: Bukit Mertajam, Penang Re: Drosera peltata in tropic? « Reply #3 on 25 Apr, 2008, 10:15 »Yes.
