Need help ASAP
If the seed pods on a nep have split at the bottom of the pod but more are still closed, do I just cut the split ones that are open and just follow cuts as the others open?
Or do I just cut the whole stalk? I also need to know the way's of drying them, desiccant, air dry? thanks and I need immediate advice. Peace, Zero Last edited by zero; 1st July 2010 at 03:48 AM. |

Re: Need help ASAP
some were saying that if you see either one of the seeds pod had open, the rest can be say ok already for harvest, i would suggest you dry them through air drying by put it on a shade place but have a lot of air movement...

Re: Need help ASAP
If it's a long stalk, the seed pods at the top might not be ready. They are ready when at least slightly brown. If not, then cut off only the ones that are ready. You can dry the pods with the seeds inside or break open the pods and dry just the seeds. Leave pods or seeds in a dry place, and it helps to spread them out. I just leave mine in the house where they don't get direct sunlight, and they dry in a day or two.
