Sundew photos
Some outdoor grown plants and more unusal use of Drosera.
This is not a photo of wild pygmy but in fact a large pot outdoor, there is a small she - oak growing in pot as well. Some of my Cape Sundew Drosera capensis varieties growing out doors. My first attemp making bonsai like landscape with CP. Now seven years old. One of my newest sundew. Drosera villosa Drosera binata cv. Marston's Dragon. Normally has a white flower. This plant seem decided produce pink flowers. It has flower early so I wait for the next flower stalk to see if this a mutation. |

Re: Sundew photos
Khoas, nice collection, very beautiful. Please confirm what was in the first photo, spatulata or burmanii (Sorry not so sure how to determine between the two).
Also very interesting potting mix you have there, please share your potting mix info? TTFN Arvin

Re: Sundew photos
No pymgea in the pots. The species and hybrids are nitidula ssp allostigma, roseana, pulchella and peltata (Light green plant in the upper middles) The hybrids are Lake Carbarup, and Badgerup, nitidula x puchella.
Potting mix is 50/50 peat moss and white quartz sand. Basically what I use for most of my collection of Dionaea, Drosera and Utrics. |
