Default Potting media need help please...

Hello, just recently I prepared my potting mix for my upcoming plants. I mix the following: cocodust with coir, hardwood dust, and charcoal. I soak it overnight and then I used this mixture for my plants. Later that day I noticed that the water coming out from the pots has different color, it has dark blue-like thing. Here is a sample...

I'm really worried my plant might die. At present they are all fine after potting them this morning. Advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Red Dragon, welcome to PP.

I really have no idea why water will become bluish in color, that's rally strange... Is the layer like oil?

Try to soak your media separately for a few more days, then you can see which media is giving out this coloration.

I tried to soak each awhile ago in water but they dont give that blue color. But when I combine it they produce these color. Looks oil but no grease. anyway, my plant are all doing fine. More plants will arrive tomorrow. I'm trying to do several washing late this afternoon, I will ask my gardener to do more washing tomorrow. Do you think its from the cocofiber/dust? I got it from a farmer. Charcoal did'nt produce that color, only black same with the wood fiber.

I know media originated from coco source will only give brownish color run off (tannic acid).

As a safety precaution, I think you should just flush the pots that were already potted with this media mix.
