(Pics) « Thread Started on Mar 13, 2008, 7:08am » Hey, I'm new to the forums and plants in general. I'm in high school and recently I have taken a interest in carnivorous plants. I have a p.primuliflora, drosera, and a flytrap. I keep them in a fishbowl terrarium right by a window that provides plenty of sunlight. I use peat mixed with sand. I also make sure there is always enough water at the bottom of the bowl and the soil doesnt dry out. I just got this ping 5 days ago and it looked fine and now some leaves are brown on the outside. I'm hoping it is just reacting to a change in environment. should I take it out and re-pot it? whats going on? This image is reduced by 30%, click it to view full size. Just look a little dehydrated. We'll wait for the experts here to give their coments. By the way, please type in your location under your profile. This would give an idea to members on where you are from. Let me know if you are unsure of how to do it and I can type it in for you. Also, check out the Terms and Conditions in the Announcement board to familiarise yourself with the rules and regulations here. Hope to hear more from you and your new found passion in CPs. « Last Edit: Mar 13, 2008, 8:46am by David »Link to Post - Back to Top LoggedMy Wantlist tarence Global Moderator member is offline Joined: Apr 2007 Gender: Male Posts: 1,523 Location: Bandar Kinrara , Puchong Re: Help with p primuliflora. newbie here. (Pics) « Reply #3 on Mar 13, 2008, 1:05pm » the plant next to it is a drosera. Should I clean off the leaves? I think there maybe be some peat and sand on them. (Pics) « Reply #10 on Mar 14, 2008, 2:42pm » It could be a d.nidiformis.... actually, the green growth i was asking was the fern like plant...*smile* tip for d.adelae : it`s very susceptible to changes & being repotted for my garden. don`t worry too much if the adult dies off, there`ll be plantlets coming up from the roots soon enough. You`ll need to maintain the adult for a while to get the plantlets tho. usually i tell if a sundew is happy in my garden ( or not ) by the appearance of dews of their leaves. no dews mean wrong conditions or plant is still acclimatising or not enough water in the water tray. cheers..... THey guy at the nursery said it shouldnt be a problem, but then again he said a lot of things that I have found to be wrong through my research.
