Default Earth Day!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!

Today is Earth Day and for those whose inner environmentalist is nudging you on some issues regarding the environment, today is a good day to seriously think about these issues and make a commitment to take an environmental action. Don't just think about it... do something about it!

Commitment ideas promoted by the Earth Day Network include pledging to educate friends and family on global warming or buy green products. The commitments are part of a year-long initiative called the Green Generation, which leads up to the 40th anniversary of Earth Day in 2010.

Lets us in our individual capacity give something back to the Earth. I think it is a reasonable thing to do as we have been milking the Earth's resources and destroying it in the process.

HAPPY EARTH DAY everyone!!

In our residential area here in Section 22, PJ we have a clean up session that is organized by the Rukun Tetangga several times a year. Just recently, we participated in joining Alam Flora and other residents to help clean up the parks and public grounds as well as back yards of houses. Next AGM meeting, I would want to suggest setting up of an enclosed community garden where we can grow herbs and flowering plants. I hope we can dedicate all the green spots in PJ into the Japanese 'Satoyama' concept. Satoyama means 'livable land by the mountain'.

And those grocery bags are really durable. I've been using 4 for almost 5 years already and none has seen as much as a scratch on the material. Strongly recommended for all use.

Thanks for volunteering to help out in future events. We always need extra help when we organise events like these.
