Welcome to the forum Edward. You will most likely need to mix up your own soil mix. I will leave it to members from your area to suggest the best places to buy what you need but a good basic mix that works for most CP's is a 50:50 mix of peat moss and coarse sand.

Good luck with the Darlingtonia if you get them. They can be tricky for growers inyour climate as they require cool roots. Warm to hot soil temps are often fatal. Please post for advise when you get seed as some species (Sarra and Darlintonia amongst others) require stratification before they will germinate. I am sure you will find this forum useful and have your collection growing in no time. Cheers.

Edward, grow drosera first. They are the easiest. Then sarracenia followed by ping and finally the hard darlingtonia.

PS: thanks for the advise over growing the CPs. I'm not afraid of tackling darlingtonia!

I'm germinating darlingtonia californica. So far the tap root is emerging but very very little.

1 week. The taproots just came out of the seed. Its just 1/3 of the seed. Very little. Maybe another week before it grows leaves. darlingtonia is one of the fastest germinating CPs.
