Default Repotted AT LAST!!!

Hi everyone

I have finally repotted my 70cm tall ventrata which has now turn to a 10cm tall ventrata hehehe....Originally when i first got it which was like 2 years+ ago it was i think in LFS and perlite and then i felt like it was lacking in soil so i made a very bad mistake which is growing it in potting soil....Well i couldn't even find anywhere to find LFS or even get more experienced on growing these guys till i started joining forums..

I know I know when i said 70cm to 10cm sounds wasteful eh?...Wait the worst thing hasn't come...The thing is i didn't just cut of "1" stem hehehe...Instead i cut off and trim all the 3 vines..
I tried doing a cutting but somehow the stem of the ventrata is so thin and well i tried and didn't look like how i saw people make cuttings so i said bye bye to them....Now the whole plant is just made out of 2 tiny basal..One around 10cm and 1 around 5cm..I also realised something...In one of the threads in the forum recently you guys were talking bout ventrata growing in lowland conditions and it will turn greener...I found out that before i cut of the vine the pitchers on them were almost pure green.....exception to those which were not at all shaded..,But the basal shoots which had tiny pitchers and also normally shaded by the bigger vines receives almost no sunlight but still has much of the reddish colouration on it.Of course when i first bought it,it was blood red..Well can't compare with that.

For anyone wondering what media i use for the ventrata now....I used about 80-90% LFS and 10-20% perlite. And like all CPs My 70cm tall ventrata has a very small rooting system...Just about half the size of my palm.

Just one question....I know that plants like N mirandas origins or hybrid or hidden from i guess almost everyone....But just asking since ventrata is ventricosa x alata so what form is the alata lowland or highland. As for what Ali said it one of the threads is N ventrata really N alata x ventricosa x alata???

Ken
