My shadehouse at the orphanage
« Thread Started on 20 Mar, 2008, 7:36 »Currently my ****es are scattered in two "orphanage"- my mum's and mum in law's place. This shadehouse has been in my mum's place fo two years and hopefully I can transfer all my ****es to my place in June. I know there are too much plant for the shadehouse, but it's hard to resist to buy nice neps and orchids

This is my first "keras tangan" attemp- the last one was way back in Form 3 woodwork. The shadehouse is 'senget' due to the plants weight and of course my minimal experience with woodwork.

« Reply #2 on 20 Mar, 2008, 19:14 »Hi david,

When I build the shade house, it is meant to be only temporary but luckily even after 2 years and more and more plants, it is still standing. The new one will be bigger and properly build so it is not senget. The current shade house is so small that in order to get to the middle pot, I have to be very flexible. And of course I also need a lot of minyak urut after that...

The neps get full sun from around 11 am till 3 pm. And instead of using shade cloth, I use normal mosquito net so more light can pass through. Currently I have 3 neps, 2 are producing pitchers but one is not although the growing conditions are the same.

I can see a raff, and 2 ventratas if i'm not mistaken. The reddish ventrata is perhaps ur latest addition?

artificialive, I already have the ventrata for approx. 5 months. Bought it in CH for RM24. I'm pretty surprised that it keeps producing pitchers even at low land.

I'm not surprised that it keeps on producing pitchers. xVentrata are hardy.. they are weeds! what i'm surprised is that it keeps on producing red pitchers
