Default The latest from my Aldrovanda

I was just checking on my Aldrovanda a while back and noticed something I had never seen before:

And there's another one!

All in all, there were a good number of Aldrovanda flowering, around 10 or so buds. Keeping an eye on them for the next couple of days, I managed to finally get this shot(pardon my lousy photography skills):

As expected, a day or so after the bloom, almost all the flowers ended up like this:

It was a real surprise for me to see something I was never able to find a picture of:

Nah, nothing unique about the red one, that one is just one of the red strains that was happy enough to turn red for me. All it needs is enough light

I'm just lucky to be able to get the shot, the flowers don't seem to last long. But it looks like this confirms that Aldrovanda can be grown through its normal life cycle in the tropics without any special treatment.
