Default Need help to identify problem

My VFT has been growing poorly lately. Firstly the traps are more semi-open and quickly turns black. I fed a life mosquito larvae after a new trap open for a few days and after a week or so the center of the traps start showing a single black dot in the middle and few days later all turn black. Is the food i fed it too 'nutritious' for it or it showing sign of dormancy? I do notice in slow growth though. Any suggestion greatly appreciated.

Ok thx for the advice. Maybe the larvae is too much for this little guy, i should stick with feeding ants like i used to but not now . Hope it get well soon.

The plant didnt show any sign of dormancy yet... At least from the photo.

For now, just stop feeding it and see what will happen.

If want to feed yours VFT, just feed 1 trap each time is enough. Dont feed too frequence. once weekly or once every 2 week is more then enough.

Cheersss...

The way I know that your plant looks healthish is that it has one new almost open trap and there are a few new leaves growing, check those often and if they are growing, then your plant is fine.

I don't think one Mossie larvae will give it indigestion
