Default Abnormal flowering plants

Is it abnormal for nepenthes to flower when they don't reach vining stage yet?I saw a sphatulata x maxima with 3 flower spikes on it in nepenthesaroundthehouse.com and the guy telling thats an abnormal flowering sequence.
He told that nepenthes will flower when they reach vining stage but my miranda flowered for me with 3 spikes as well.it's not vining at all!!!
What's my conclusion is that they will flower once they reach vining stage in the wild because they have more sunlight but in cultivation,we are giving it enough sunlight.
So anyone experienced this before and think that it's abnormal.
It's not abmnormal for me at all.

Thanx!
