Hello, I wasn't sure where to stick this. (First post here)
I bought 1 capensis, 2 VFly traps a Pitcher plant and a filiformis. a few sundews (spattulata) and a binata came along for the ride about 2 years ago. I stuck em in some peat moss and they are doing ok. They sit out on my balcony. Lately I've had two issues I can see. One type of VFTraps just keeps getting smaller and smaller leaves.... ? (Humidiy/Temp?) And then there is this catapillar. It builds a web that can withstand sundew even fly traps (they wiggle out). The even fall in the pitcher and eat out the bottom. (Daniel Rudd cultivar sarecrnia btw ![]() I've been picking them off with tweezers, but the stick the leaves together etc and it's becoming a pain. I gather pesticide is out of the q so what would anyone suggest? Thanks in Advance. Oh and forgive me if this is in the wrong place Take care, Josh btw thanks for having me too. great that a small hobby can overcome the tyranny of distance. p.s. last count about 10 capensis; 30 spattulata dros., 3 binata, 3 filiformis, 6 VF, 10 sarracena. |

I suppose the VFT may not like the current high temps in OZ... Maybe it is going temporarily dormant..
