received my order last night, the n hirsuta x raff looks like a medusa's hair....have to wait for it to grow bigger before cutting them off for extra cuttings and have a "cleaner look" plant....the n x syurga (ventricosa x northiana) looks fine to me...hope that its peristome will have both parent's gene in it....

just be cautious for those who had purchased crosses involving intermediate and highland parentage. to provide airier growing media as they will not grow well if their roots gets "suffocated" in wet and compact media....new leaves will grow smaller, no pitchers and eventually perish if the condition does not improve...this is based on tips given by the sifus and my personal experience..

dont mention... as we shall share information on the forum and no point of keeping from each other. as you said "now need to take in once the rain start" do you meant that you collect all the pots indoor when it started to rain? dont think it is a wise practice as each pot of plants is trying to acclimatise according to its micro environment and if you provide the right media and condition for its long term growth, you dont need to "workout" yourself, imagine people like pisceslim, robert, cbkhoon......they have hundreds and hundreds of pots and trays to shift...huhuuu

i know what you mean but recently bought a few small nep that grows better if the media is not constantly wet so is not trouble to bring it out of the rain since only few pots. Anyway, if left outside any way to prevent from getting much of the rain water?

Yes you are right. I did put shade cloth but i think it is still insufficient as heavy rain still get to pass through a lot. I just afraid it become too moist and rot easily as it is still a small plant. I'll think of something....

Well,if you think too much rain will make the media wet, then you can add in some media like coconut peat/chunck/fibre, pearlite, charcoal, burnt soil into the media instead using pure sphagnum moss,
If you concern that media like pearlite will flood out once the pot fill with rain or peat flow out from the pot through drainage hole in the pot, you can use sphagnum moss as a layer on top and bottom to keep them stay at there place, hope this will help you.

My humble opinion is that plants really do not need much care, they are much tolerant and stronger than what we think.

Hi, Allen,
Can you check? I have ordered 3 plants, but only received 2 plants, and both look like same type. Please refer to cari, I have posted the images there.
