Hongrui : your cephs looks fab ! nice going, keep it up.

Cindy : some of the leaves have turned yellow as well now. some are still green and firm tho. a brown stump can still sprout leaves later ? Phew, hope mine does. I`ve got 2 just 1 green leaf away from turning into a brown stump. heheh. i`ll try to diluted fertiliser things for 2 of the plants and see how. thx....i`m worried about the cephs but not overly so.

What size were the plants from TP?

As long as the stump is firm, new nodes will appear from the base. I'll send you some pics via e-mail. By the way, can you take photos of your Cephs and show me? Wah, you very brave...dare to fertilise your Cephs.

no lah, you suggested to try putting diluted orchid fertiliser directly to the roots to help the new plants recover so i`m just trying it out...anything to hasten recovery....show you pics of the cephs arrr ? they are changing from day to day ( meaning more leaves or pitcher drying up )...heheh...i`ll pm you when i do it....or send it to your email....

the cephs are the TP small ones, the 3cm width(?) ones. arrived in the feb/mar '07 order.

Hongrui, all of your Cephs look good. Seems that Mandai is a nice place for them.

Tarence, orchid fertiliser at the roots is suggested by my Australian friend. So far no ill effects, remember to flush the pots two days later with water.

Mandai = cool nites. Very Ceph friendly i guess.

hongrui : do you shiver at nite in bed if it rains ? pull up the blankets higher then....heheh.

cool nights = very CP friendly actually. cephs, drosera and neps love it. esp if you're like me and want to grow intermediate/highland neps outdoors without additional cooling.

yeah, it does get pretty cool at night here when it rains. and because it's very windy too, i can even do without a fan in my room for 9mths out of the entire year.

Wow Hongrui, I didnt know that Mandai has a notable temp drop in the nights... hmmmz....

I killed my ceph from Mr Lin quite quickly *bleargh* hahaha.. great that you are doing well with it...

i'm assuming i need to sun it more to get red red pitchers, which will be my target for next year.

cindy, i'm planning to shift all the cephs (2 from TP and the 2 recent arrivals) round to the back to join the juvi ceph from you during the last week of december. that way when the light levels goes up, the cephs shouldn't be too badly hit. i hope

cindy, this particular plant has been together with the VFTs under full sun for about 3weeks now.
