I believe he means those syringe without needle. Get the one around 3-10ml type. Its nozzle is big enough to take in the worms along with bloody water. That's how I do it also...

Whether you want to hand feed your neps or not (most ppl will do it including me ), do it in moderation. Meaning, just feed a little... If you feed too much, the pitcher will dry prematurely.
