« Reply #2 on Apr 10, 2007, 5:17pm » Try to get those that are in powder form instead of the liquid form. That way you can be sure there are no petroleum base stuff in the fungicide.

A thing to note here for all growers... when dealing with insecticide and fungicide, please be careful as it is poison. Use a rubber glove if possible. And after you are done with it, wash your hands properly.

« Reply #3 on Apr 10, 2007, 11:50pm » I asked ace hardware assistant -_- she just got blur and said they didn't have it... Same for a thing to detect humidity... The workers there don't seem to know much. Or I have bad luck and always ask the wrong ones?

Try other shops and see. Sometimes I see it at the hoem section under electrical stuff in supermarkets. Ask for Hydrometer.

« Reply #7 on May 1, 2008, 11:36pm » I want to know more about fungicide.Why petroleum based fungicide cant be used on cp's?The one which i bought is petroleum based.I have asked 4 nursery in Klang,nearby my house and they dont have the powder type.What is the name of the powder type fungicide?Is it safe to be used on cp's and cp seeds.Can a fungicide overdose kill cp's?

« Reply #8 on May 2, 2008, 12:18am » so far i am been use powder type fungicide on my sarracenias and VFT's with no side effect. the powder is like yellowish colour. i think if it is in the right dosage, you can apply it to seedlings and seeds to prevent any mould or fungi when germinating seeds
