Need help to ID

Hi Folks,

My daughter sent me these pics of her nep in New Zealand. Had it for some time, original cup dried and dead and after a long while new ones appearing.

Any idea what it is? Thanks.

Nah, neps can't be be crossed with cephalotus! Strangely the plant looks big, yet the pitchers are small. How big was the original pitchers? This pitcher is really small for me to identify properly. Maybe other members can identify it.

Need a pic of mature pitcher Hosh...but let's see what other members say?If your daughter bought it from local nursery,then it's most probably ventrata,miranda or rebecca soper..

There were several pitchers when she bought the plant about 3 years ago, but they were also very small and shrivelled up within weeks of bringing it home. They don't seem to want to grow any bigger than a couple of centimetres long...

could it be highland plant? It needs cold temperature so that it can grow large pitcher? Just like N.gracilis??

She is in New Zealand, so should be cool enough for HL. Will wait for other pitchers.

might be the medium the nep planted in is rich in nutrient therefore the plant need not produce pitchers to get food/nutrient??
