Default TDS value of our tap water

i just receive my TDS meter from Ebay last day's morning.so after i receive it,i quickly open the cap and test it on my tap water.

the reading for my tap water is 49-50ppm.i also try TDSing at my Aunt's house at Lembah Keramat and the main pipe at the road side.

the reading is also around 48-50ppm.

so my bet is that the whole KL has that kind of value maybe.

so my question is,is 49-50ppm safe to use for CPs?

TDS stands for total dissolved solids, i think it is more important to look at the pH of the water & its carbonate hardness rather than TDS

As Malaysian, we are lucky. Because, it is safe to use tap water for most of CP... So far, I didnt hear any complain from forumer about that.
