In relation to the P. primuliflora, it and the other members of the genus from the USA generally have a short life of only a few years. The good thing though is that primuliflora produces plantlets from the ends of the leaves (as can be seen in the photo) which allows you to keep the species in your collection even after the original has died.

The emarginata hybrid flowers most of the year and even in cooler climates usually does not go dormant. The influence of P. emarginata in it is strong and this species does not undergo a dormancy.

Thanks for the advice, guys.. Sean, I think that habit is quite cute (producing baby plants on the leaf tips).. It happens to my drosera adalae too..
