I see. The one you are using is with "loads of holes" or mesh type bottom.
Semi-hydroponics is very similar to water tray method, used mostly for orchids. Instead of tray, there is no bottom hole. The hole is at the lower side of the pot. Very porus media is used(to achieve airy-ness), there is one sold by the semi-hydroponics guy but not sold here. It is kinda like the leca balls sold here. My paph niveum is doing very well using this method. My other paph are ok also. Haven't tried on other orchids or neps though. Regards cj |

Hmm... sound interesting. I think this should work for ephiphytic neps like N. veitchii....
