Looks very steady and could withstand a storm. I'm thinking the same thing as Tarence too. Perhaps you could build another shelf at the bottom to allevate the plants from the ground so that your "****es" would be protected by splattered raindrops from the ground. Aslo if they are nearrer to the top of the polycarbonate roof, less rain wouls also get to the sundews when wind blows the rain sideways... Just my thoughts if it helps ![]() ![]() Advisor - CP ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() member is offline CP addict ![]() ![]() Joined: Jul 2007 Gender: Male ![]() Posts: 467 Location: Mandai, Singapore ![]() « Reply #3 on 24 Oct, 2007, 20:21 »thanks for your comments tarence and david. yes tarence, this is at my balcony. still got lots of space left heh heh. i'll have even more space downstairs for my neps after i move my drosera collection up. i don't think i'll be constructing another shelf (too much trouble), but i might be adding a 'skirt' using clear plastic sheet to block out rain coming in from the side, but i'm worried about the lack of ventilation, so i'll just be monitoring the situation first and see how it goes.
