What's wrong with this neps. ?
« Thread Started on Aug 19, 2007, 12:10am »

when I 1st bought the plant it was okay, but now this is how it looks. It's supposed to be a n. ramispina and it has a small 'anak' and it's affected too by the problem as you can see from the photos. Upon discovery of the condition, I've check the pot for pest, the only thing I found was a worm in the potting mix - removed immediately!

The other plants from the same batch & living under the same condition are doing okay.

Advices will be very much appreciated.

« Reply #1 on Aug 19, 2007, 1:33am » I think it was attacked by some kind of nocturnal insect larva. Check it at night. Could be caterpillar of moth. « Last Edit: Aug 19, 2007, 1:35am by piscesilim »Link to Post - Back to Top 60.52.62.86Lim artificialive

Is this an isolated incidence??. If so, simply find the catepillar (hiding inside the white cotton stuff) and chop it into two. Your plant will live happily ever after!

« Reply #7 on Aug 19, 2007, 9:41pm » Yeah, if u dont wanna chop it into two, u can feed ur neps or VFT with it (like i laways do ) caterpillars are easier to deal with compared to scales/ mealy bugs or other micro insects.
