Culture for (hirsuta x spathulata)
Does anyone have this hybrid? My dad just bought one on my behalf from Eric at the Penang flower show. I love the pitchers, quite big, about 8 inches. No pics yet, cos my photobucket album having some problems. Hirsuta is a lowlander and spathulata is a highlander, so how do you grow yours? Needs cooling? Thanks.

haha, dont you worry.....it is a very hardy hybrid.....keep moist, one of its parents n. hirsuta is a water loving species.....very adaptable....the hybrid pitchers has a slightly harder pitcher walls.....since this was bought from a floral fair.....it should has acclimatised with 'lowland' condition.

Re: Culture for (hirsuta x spathulata)
i found junglebell, gothica, red dragon & red leopard easy to acclimatise as well, i bought them from YG and only keep them in very shaded place for 1 week, then return back to normal shaded enviroment, they are all ok so far
