Complex Hybrids

It is interesting how the characteristics of each is represented in this seedling. Note the striped peristome reminiscent of veitchii and perhaps Rokko. The thick sturdy pitcher is definitely from lowii/Trusmadiensis and the growth pattern is definitely veitchii.

« Reply #1 on Dec 11, 2007, 10:21pm » Argghhhhh!!!! If I remembered the name correctly I almost had this beauty in my hands, but out of either bad cultivation or environment I lost it. I had some seeds but they never germinated. I was so excited to see how they'll turn out. Now I know.

« Reply #2 on Dec 12, 2007, 1:46am » I believe this is a female and if ever I could get myhands on northiana pollen, I would cross it to this to make a warmer tolerant and highly colorful hybrid.
Other breeding candidates would be N. veitchii, thorelii, Dyeriana, and eymae

I made multiple cutting recently and some have taken quite well.
