Here is the pond. Stagnant, looks yucky...


Can you see the U. australis here? It's those strands in the water.


Here's a closeup. Looks like U aurea doesn't it?


The black spots are traps which have "caught" some creepers.


Walking further from the pond, we spent a good half hour looking for D binata but it was no avail. None to be found except I found this:

To end our little outing. Another Utric we found was U dichotoma.

Adam and the flowering plant. Without the flower, it would be very difficult to locate it.

Try looking closely at its typical habitat, it would be impossible for me to find the tiny plant growing among sphagnum moss and other grasses. U dichotoma we found here is submerged underwater thanks to the overwhelming rain five days ago. This habitat is lower forming a water path to a creek. I think it should be moist most period of the year other than hot summer (guess) otherwise the sphagnum moss cannot grow here.

We ended our trip at Garden World Collector's conner. Here its Bromeliad collection. I love they way they display it.

Very nice U dichotoma flower. I don't seem to have luck with this species. I've been trying for many times with the seeds (from different sources) but didn't turn out to be a "real" one. Really don't know why
The Garden World Collector's Conner is really awesome, I like the way they attached the plants. Are those tree trunk fake? Hope I could have chance to visit there one day.

Apologies for getting back sooner. Been chalking up milage. I suppose they fake as I don't see any tree can have that type of physiology.

I admire the manner they use the moss to decorate the place.

But I don't see any mosses in your picture, did you take any pictures on that?

Those thing hanging are Spanish Moss / Tillandsia usneoides
