and where did you get the TC vessels?
the containers/vessels were bought from a local scientific co.

i made my own medium - sugar, coconut water, charcoal and agar.

I'm in kuching and the co. imported the jars ( and other equipment and accessories ) were imported from, most likely, kuala lumpur.

To a liter coconut water ( or a liter distill water ) i add sugar 20 gm, charcoal 0.5gm, agar 8 gm ( the degree of softnes and watery-like to hardness of the medium depended on the amount of agar, you may play with the amount) 8gm is still soft. Too hard the seedlings roots can't penetrate the medium.

I read and gathered infos from the following link and try it out my own. you may like to prepare your own.

There is no right or wrong answer. some people add apple juice, banana, papaya, tomato. The ingredients are important to seedlings development else without food the seedlings turn brown and die.

rubbing alcohol is methanol, contain ethanol but not as pure. yes, can be used to sterilised seeds and the working area ( inner sides of the glove hood and laminar floor)

ethanol was packed in 2.5 lit container.

You need to find the price in KL or anywhere in west malaysia, 'cos we are paying more for most item in the east.
