Thanks kit1212, Marvin and Ali.
Marvin, I got this from a friend. I think BE used to sell the same raff... maybe Fauzi still got it, why don't you ask him. Ali, Good to hear your N. lowii x campanulata is doing well, as for mine, I found it's rather sensitive to humidity, so now it's not looking best with deformed pitcher. It's still however growing well... would love to see yours though. My other intermediates are doing ok but it's currently producing smaller pitcher due to the warmer, drier and lower humidity weather. That's the fact I have to accept when growing my neps outdoor... ![]()

Marvin,
N. lowii x campanulata can do OK in L/L tropical condition but don't imagine it to be as vigorous as N. rafflesiana or N. mirabilis. It's still consider as an intermediate and somewhat sensitive to fluctuation in humudity. As with most intermediates, you have to make sure to prepare a well drain media and control your watering. Francois, Thanks for your compliments. Waiting eagerly for your next pic updates.

Hi Kenneth,
Besides well drain media, you have also watch the watering frequency. Since N. northiana have tick leaves, it can handle dry media fairly well, unlike N. mirabilis. So you have to see how long it takes for the media to get dry in your place and water accordingly. Depending on the type of media you use, it's possible just to water every 2 - 3 days. N. northiana also sensitive towards humidity, so keeping the humidity up will be helpful. As for immature green pitchers, there's no way around that unless you get an adult plant as most of the N. northiana available for sale is size S. N. northiana is a slow grower and it need a long time to acclimatise (sometimes up to 2-3 months) to your growing conditions. So to grow N. northiana, you'll need to have a lot of patience.... ![]() Patience is the key to successfully grow neps. ![]()
