Those that have received the plantlets from me, please share pictures of your plants. A few pots died on me in the last month. They just stopped growing and leaves started to turn brown. So far the two largest pots are those two in the picture. They're about 2 cm-2.5cm in diameter from leaf to leaf excluding the pitchers. It is mirabilis x thoreli. The rest looks like the third pot in the picture. However, below are a few of the survivors: 3sgjeffery Guest Re: Nepenthes Plantlets Updates Wah! thats great. i wonder how long will the plantlets grow to that size... bifurcatum Senior Member member is offline Joined: Jan 2007 Gender: Male Posts: 381 Location: Batu Pahat, Johor Re: Nepenthes Plantlets Updates This image is reduced by 13%, click it to view full size. only mirabilis x thoreli looks healthy David Administrator member is online Joined: Dec 2006 Gender: Male Posts: 2,326 Location: Kuala Lumpur Re: Nepenthes Plantlets Updates Cool bifurcatum, It does look healthy. Jeff, if I remember correctly, these plantlets are about 4-5 months old prana New Member member is offline Joined: Jan 2007 Gender: Male Posts: 31 Location: Singapore Re: Nepenthes Plantlets Updates hi everyone.... david...u use mostly sphag moss? I use mostly perlite for seedlings like that. It gave me higher success compare to pure sphag moss. I add some moss at the bottom to cover the pot holes and bits of sphag moss in the perlite. Then i spread a layer of sphag moss to cover the top to increase humidity. The idea is to have good ventilation for the delicate roots without drying out too much. in my personal opinion, more plants died from rot rather from drying out....just to share my style.... I notice a lot of my plantlest do not grow that well when the media is overly wet. |
