Paphioboy, the Dendrobium Gatton 'Sunray' must be a large sized plant. I saw one at Sg Buloh. It was the size of a potted palm and the flowers were huge. Is it flowering season for them?

hahaahaa.....I like the way you name 'supermarket dendrobium'

Your amboinensis is pretty especially the prominent 'tiger stripes' marking.

funkychips, the Gatton 'Sunray' is actually not that big. it can bloom on just a few bulbs, but they must be mature sized. A seedling takes quite long to reach mature size, so a division is better. It is a very rewarding orchid. Now is the blooming season (March to May)..

kit1212, yes Gatton Sunray gets direct sun..

andy, its true. The dend came from Carrefour supermarket..

Hi guys,
been busy for the past few weeks and the internet speed at the rig is painfully slow. can't agree more with paphioboy regarding the gatton, here is mine which blooms a few weeks ago:

i give it full sun plus since it's fertiliser hungry, i also use orchid nugget so it can get some fert everytime it's watered.
