The seeds can germinate even without bleach, maybe takes longer. I don't like the smell of bleach so I just sow the seeds as other droseras. I observed germination in ~2weeks.

The statement sound familiar...

If didnt use bleach, germination rate will be lower if compare with seeds that bleach, last time, I got almost 100% germination after use bleach. Without that, I just got 50% or less...

im now trying to sow a few dozens without bleached and see if it germinates.
and yes,i have high success rate germinate byblis when bleached even though i dont give it any light till its 1cm tall.

i like this plant now since its very fast in terms of growth and sets lots of seeds

I see. I didn't count, maybe seeds too small or sky too dark. I got good 12 to 15 germinated, which I'm happy enough. Assuming another 50% casualties from seedling to adult, due to plant transfer, bad gene, etc, and give away 2-3 to friends, I still have 3-4 adult plants to admire.
Right now hving headache with hundreds of neps seedling in seed boxes. Problem in 1-2 years. I may become the first(?) to move house because of running out of space for carnivorous plants.
