Andy, hard to describe the appearance as it will probably be the same for other platys. I will snap a hp pic and wire to the pc. I went to New trio nursery and found they were the ones distributing this mystery platy to ACE hardware.

Hi guys, I seem to have missed this one while traveling! Here's a link to a Thai woman (Wanna) who produces and sells Platyceriums of all kinds. She also runs an agricultural supply company where I often buy peat moss, etc. Most of her site is in Thai but she has been putting in more and more English and speaks/writes English very well. Have a look and check back often as the plants change week to week. She carries a very good mix of platys and loves to share info regarding growing them. (David - she has holtumii in 4" pots for $7 us and ridleyii for $15).
http://www.bloggang.com/viewdiary.ph...ipper&group=25 She also is instrumental in publicising a fern website here in Thailand; http://forum.iloveferns.com/index.php/board,7.0.html and a few other interesting/useful platy sites in T-land; http://www.iloveferns.com/ (also Wanna's, I think) Fernsbangkok; http://fernbangkok.com/ SiamExotica; http://siamexotica.com/index.html ~Shawn |

I believe that she ships everywhere. I know people in Japan that buy from her regularly. I also found that she did a wonderful job of packing everything safely - though I hate the Styrofoam 'peanuts'!

I think she does it herself in her own nursery, but she is in very close contact with all of us growing platys in Thailand and many outside of the country. (See her greenhouse link on the opening page). I attribute the nice deep green to the peat moss I buy from her! I used to use sphagnum for my sporelings until she suggested I change...wow - glad I did! Remember...she also owns/operates an agricultural supply company! There are a number of others growing hybrid combos here and what's available is always changing.
