For information he is the founder of N.faizaliana 1991(named after his son), N.mapuluensis 1990, N.x alisaputrana, N.x gazallyana and N.x sarawakiensis. In 2006 he has found a new species and was named N.naquiyuddinnii - named after Pro-Chancellor UKM and the other species was elevated from a subspecies earlier - N.zakriana. According to him there will be a press conference sometime in May (Base on Pro-Chancellor availability) pertaining to these 2 new species. Yet to know whether attendance by invitation or open to public. I'll check with him and will update the information. Picture of both species can be located from my website. www.dapat.net/4zeplant « Last Edit: Apr 27, 2007, 10:00pm by David »Link to Post - Back to Top 203.106.163.228Nepenthes - unique plant for unique individual www.dapat.net/4zeplant zakhren Senior Member member is offline I'm back! Both of the plants may not be displayed as it does not grows well in the UKM green house. David, I have the article published in PDF format. How to post in the forum for members reference. By the way, this Dr does not collect live Nepenthes - he collects herbarium. So I don't think there is any nursery offering the species yet. Nepenthes - unique plant for unique individual. Perhaps you can post on your website and put the link here. Either that Print screen on the document and save as jpeg. Then upload on web and post as picture. By the way, I've helped you remove the fullstop on your web link. « Last Edit: Apr 27, 2007, 10:01pm by David »Link to Post - Back to Top LoggedMy Wantlist artificialive Pioneer Member / Global Moderator member is offline Joined: Dec 2006 Gender: Male Posts: 713 Location: Ayer Keroh, Malacca Re: N.naquiyuddinnii & N.zakriana « Reply #6 on Apr 28, 2007, 10:42pm » Yeah, looks like N. Will take a little while longer than normal to download but you can pint a clear copy if you want. Tried to place the pictures here but it takes too long to download. Also after they are shrink to size the text is too small to read. So below are the links to the articles on these new species. https://archive.petpitcher.net/forum/n.naquiy...n.zakria_1.gif https://archive.petpitcher.net/forum/n.naquiy...n.zakria_2.jpg https://archive.petpitcher.net/forum/n.naquiy...zakriana_3.gif https://archive.petpitcher.net/forum/n.naquiy...zakriana_4.jpg https://archive.petpitcher.net/forum/n.naquiy...zakriana_5.jpg https://archive.petpitcher.net/forum/n.naquiy...zakriana_6.gif « Last Edit: May 1, 2007, 3:53pm by David »Link to Post - Back to Top LoggedMy Wantlist |
