Default some Q bout neps seeds production

My N. mirabilis is blooming again for the 3th time.I've cross pollinate with N.miranda 1st. 1/3 of the flowers,N.viking 2nd. 1/3,and the remaining 1/3 with N.gracilis.
My Q is,why is the seeds pod develop at a different size?is it because of the different nep.sp that i use to.....as u can see from the picture,i know that my 1st 1/3 of the flower fail to produce seeds, but the 2nd and 3th portion develop seeds pod off diffrent size.
Has anyone experience this before?

It happened in nature too. But my guess - 'cos pollination were at different rate, as the pods from lower spike developed first the well pollinated ones will be more longish and fat.

Wow thats a huge flower haha...Maybe cause the lower 1/3 is pollinated by miranda and i've heard some mirandas are sterile....I'll be glad to have some mirabilis x gracilis though hahaha

Well, I've never had a female flower before. If it's like that, it's nature's way I suppose nice neps and flowers!

The Mystery of Mother Nature!....hehehe
Well,i know that the flower develope (receptive to pollen) at different rate from lower to upper spike, but from my own observation off pass experience,i notice that the seeds pod will only start to develope once the last flower has bloom. So this would made the pods swell at about the same size.A remarks on my pass experience is that i only made a single hybrid, that is using only 1 nep sp pollen. As this is my 1st time doing a multiple hybrid,it's a new experience/observation seeing the pods swell at a different size for a different nep sp pollen.

Well, maybe that's true.Because my 1st seed batch was N.mirabilis X N.xmiranda and i've give it away to some PP members. But i got a reply 3weeks ago that none of the seeds germinate. Not sure yet if the seeds is sterile or gone bad...
Hehehe....need to wait for the seeds pod to mature 1st lo....i'll update this thread went the seeds are ready for me to give it away
