Marvin, that would take a few days I suppose, but let Arvin explain to you.
I didn't do that actually, I took out the whole container and placed it at a bright but cool (no direct sun) place with the cover still closed. After germination, then open the cover bit by bit slowly to expose the seedlings to outside condition, this is very important as drop in humidity abrubtly could cause the seedlings to dryout and die. This process will take about a week.
