De-chlorinating water with Chemicals
Hey there Guys,
New to the world of Carnivorous Plants - Have on order some lovely Sarracenia seeds (venosa, leucophylla, flava rugelii) Just one quick question ... Has anyone used commerical de-chlorinators to remove chlorine from tap water ? (like what's used to remove chlorine for fish in ponds/aquariums etc) and had success ? Please let me know - Thought if it's safe for fish it should be safe for my seeds. If not what's a good brand of bottle water I could use ... Thank you ! Pete (Sydney) |

Re: De-chlorinating water with Chemicals
never use any chemical for water that I used for watering plant as they do not show sign of struggling with direct tap water
but there are common anti-chlorine chemical available, some comes with anti-chloramine, but I do not know whether chloramine does any harm to plants or not

Re: De-chlorinating water with Chemicals
i prefered "carbon-filtered" water instead of using anti-chlorine

It sound no logic if compare plant with fish. Fish breathing in the water but not for plant . You should easily get the plantlet in australia since there have a big supplier |
