Thanks for the letter. We bought a small pack of vermiculite a while back and plan to try it. Do you use pure vermiculite for your Nepenthes? I assume you use it when it is damp but not saturated when you pot it. If you put the damp vermiculite or potting mix into the container in as loose manner as possible, approximately what percentage of the original volume would you reduce the volume to when you press it down? Your help is appreciated, Regards Richard. |

LOL vincent some sphag killed your nep??Oh and I think I red somewhere in this forum that vermiculite turns akaline after some time.But I still use it when I have no perlite.Vermiculite are brittle and break easily(I think so) I meant "sqiushes easliy"
