Some don`t make it....
« Thread Started on Nov 9, 2007, 8:54am »
Here are 2 sarracenia flowers which didn`t bloom.....i`m not sure why this happens but it`s not the first time in my garden, others do bloom.....conditions are all the same. does it give-up halfway or energy levels went low all of a sudden ? Hmmmm....

Tarence, I think the energy levels went low ler, or did the plant experience some kind of shock? Your sarras still look so good lah, some of my sarras are going dormancy these days, so urgly.

Part 2.....i fed all my sarracenias with some blood worms 2 weeks ago. the rest were ok but this one dried up. 3 reasons i think : the sarracenia has not been fed or not able to catch insects for a long time or the `feast` triggered dormancy

pitchers which were lost

the CP after trimming

i`m quite sure the plant itself will be ok. just needs time to recover. No sweat.
