Seedgrown N. macrophylla update
a bit late adding it here, but here is a plant that i received in a rather horrible state of condition.
the plant arrived October 11th of 2008. the plant was shaken up in the box, removed from the pot it was in and smashed around inside a ball of tinfoil...horrible excuse for shipping. Upon arrival - 10/11/08 3-24-09 the pitcher opened the other day, here is the best photo i could get of it... |

Re: Seedgrown N. macrophylla update
Hi
It really looks horrible when it came to you..the newer leaves are all smaller...Were they like attacked by mites from the previous owner or is it to hot? Anyways looks much much better now with you..So how do you find it growing fast? Slow? Ken

Re: Seedgrown N. macrophylla update
Khoas- the growing tip was slightly ***aged
the roots were what i was worried about, they were shredded up.... he attempted to send the plant potted, but when he sent it, sent it in a crappy thin plastic pot wraped with aluminum foil...nothing holding down the potting media. the plant was shaken up in the box, and badly ***aged.... Thanks for the comments, im really proud of this plants recovery |

Re: Seedgrown N. macrophylla update
thanks alot for the comments guys
i really didnt want to see this plant go...though i wasnt going to freak out and obsess over it obviously. i planted it up, gave it good light, watered it...and the most important part, waited...a month later, the new leaf was exposed and it just took off from there. now it gets fertilized twice a month with orchid fertilizer, 1/4 tsp per gallon of water. and is watered once or twice a week. given ultrahighland conditions, and good light, this plant is unstoppable. |
