Default Paph x wenshanense

Natural hybrid of concolor and bellatulum. The man-made version is named Conco-bellatulum..

Nice paph! I notice the overall flower shape tends to lean toward concolor parentage while the colour leans toward bellatulum.
And it looks oddly familiar. I may have kept this hybrid wayyy back when I first started on paphs. At that time, a paphio looks like a paphio to me. Damn....

funkychips, it may be due to the plant's genetics.. In the wild, the resultant hybrid of x wenshanense may have been back crossed with its parents over many generations, hence some populations of natural hybrids tend to resemble 1 parent more than the other, thus confusing taxonomists on its status as a legal species.. its the same with nepenthes..

It looks sleepy and hypnotizing. So beautiful.
